When she’s alone, Elena sleeps on the right side of the bed. So does Stefan, so when they’re together she has to sleep on the left side, even if they’re in her bed. But whenever Damon and Elena happen to be in bed together for whatever reason, Damon is on the left so Elena can be on the right.
Coincidence? I think not.
